We are honoured to be appointed as the lead Project Manager on the new Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease.

We are extremely proud to be the lead project managers on the new Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) that is being built at Seacroft Hospital in Leeds.

The ethos of the Leeds MND Service of enabling MND patients to ‘live in the now’ will be reflected in the build with the vision being to provide hope and optimism and set standards of MND Care delivery nationally. The aspiration is that this building will become an exemplar for therapeutic clinical spaces, located within sensitively designed and carefully curated landscaped areas, providing sensory enrichment for all users of the building as they go through their journey with MND.

The next big step for this scheme is the announcement of the architects who will be bringing the vision for the space to life. Successful appointed through competitive tender, Corstorphine & Wright will join the project team as architect, propelling the project forwards.

As part of the first engagement session, Corstorphine & Wright presented to a group that included Rob Burrow, his parents Geoff and Irene, and Ian Flatt and his wife Rachael and had a positive discussion with Dr Agam Jung and members of the clinical and project team about the benefits of the new centre for MND patients.

Thanks to donations, £4.5 million of the £6.8 million fundraising target has been raised, and the project team are looking forward to sharing updates as progress with the build is made.
